Awareness Sessions

Health awareness session can increase the awareness of people in the intervention area of the organization about palliative care. However, to improve the attitude of the community about delivery of palliative care services, more sustained efforts are required to make them believe that palliative care can be provided by community volunteers also and not necessarily only by professionals. Our CHVs and MIs organize awareness sessions with helps of puppet show, wall panting, community meeting, and rallies.

Palliative care is an approach that improves the quality of life of patients and their families who are facing the problems associated with life-threatening illness, through the prevention and relief of suffering by means of early identification and impeccable assessment and treatment of pain and other physical, psychosocial, and spiritual problems.
