Community Health

CHAMP, with support from CHAI, has been implementing project “Provision of Community Health Services and Scale-up of Interventions on Communicable Diseases” in Diocesans Units. Aim to ensure that “Access to health and developmental services is improved through decreased coverage gaps in provision of health services”.

People with life-limiting diseases including cancer, other non communicable diseases, and communicable diseases such as TB, HIV/AIDS have pain, other symptoms, and psychosocial distress, which can dramatically decrease the quality of life and place a burden on the economy.

The project aspires to facilitate collaboration between Catholic Health Care Facilities (CHFs) and various national disease-control programmers’ such as, National Vector- borne Diseases Control Programme, Leprosy Programme, Blindness Programme, RNTCP, and HIV/AIDS Programme (particularly for provision of PPTCT/ICTC services through PPP mode) as well implementing health and developmental interventions in 25 villages through 5 MIs of CHAI with 25 Community Health Volunteers.

CHAMP also working with 334 Member Institutes in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Out of 334 Member Institutes, 159 wellness Centre, 110 Health Centre, 32 Hospitals, 15 Social Services Centre and 18 others.
